Wind, Exercise, and Prayer Requests...

Hey everybody,

Let´s see, what´s new...some strong freak winds tore part of the roof off the volleyball court and deposited it (steel supports and all) on the roof of the comodor...Ramses and Yaneli, both age 10, can each do about 30 pushups...Frankie can run 26 laps around the local track in 55 minutes, which means he can run about 8 minutes to the mile for almost an hour...without doing any training ahead of time, other than his daily activities (I told you he has a lot of energy)...and Duane and Ann Wulfe organized a track and field day for the kids at CVE, which was carried out today to much fanfare and fun!

The ¨Dia de Diversion¨ included sprints, long distance running, 3 legged races, baseball and frisbee throws, a volleyball tournament, bicycle contests, and an obstacle course complete with tires, ¨barbed wire¨crawling section, mud, and water provided by a fire hose from none other than Female Firefighter of the Year, Susie Zobrist! Lots of fun was had by all, beautiful weather, prizes, etc. Candi, the young 4 year old cutie with an attitude, took first for the girls in every event...because she was the only girl in her age group! I don´t think she realized though, because the girl got more and more excited with each first place recognition at the ceremony...rather entertaining to watch, actually.

Prayer Requests...

Some of the boys are having a rough time right now...please pray for Isaac, Jose (big), and Marcos (Poncho), and their counselors (Joel and Kristy Leman, Stephanie Barr).

We have a lot of decisions to make in the school regarding Summer School and primary teachers for next year...these teachers will have a big impact on the kids, spiritually and academically, so we need God´s intervention.

I will be watching Seth´s boys (Frankie, Fede, Michel) sometime in the next two weeks for a week or so, when he heads home with Joel Rinkenberger to visit. That means I´ll be teaching during the day and supervising in the evening, for a week or more...I need sanity and good behavior, desperately!

Be sure to check out the links to my photos on photobucket! There are new pictures of the Ixtlan trip and hopefully I´ll have the track and field day pictures up soon as well.

Thanks,

Todd
